HP TouchSmart 300-1017 Desktop PC does not turn on, but show green led on back? Any fix?

HP TouchSmart 300-1017 Desktop PC does not turn on.

Green LED on back lights up.

Have tried in multiple wall outlets that I have tested with other devices.

Have even swapped the power cord from another pc.

Green LED on back lights up immediately when connected to outlet, but still does not boot.

Used pc fine the night before, but now does not boot at all.

         Welcome to HP's forum. Sorry to see your computer is not working. I could not find this on HP Touchsmart 300-1017 computers web-site. I did find it on my HP Touchsmart 600-1050 page. Maybe it might help you. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02217843&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4007138&tmp...   I would also recommend breaking down the your computer to see if there is any signs of burt or disconnected wires. Direction for breaking down your computer are given on your computers web-site. Removing the optical drive is a good on. This shows and tells you how to reomove back pannel and side pannells. Just enough to get a better view of whats in side. Another one maybe the fan cleaning section. What you are looking for is disconnect wires brown spots or burt sections on connectors boards. Broken wires you would need multi metter to check for that. Maybe an Election would let you barrow one. Just check continuity between points and ends of wires. Hopefully it is just switch or the imput for ac power supply on back of the computer. The difference between 300 and 600 series is the size. There is difference in breaking them down but basically the same.
