HP TouchSmart IQ790 Stopped Working

Hi i have a HP Touchsmart IQ790 which has stopped working .. has green power light on back and i can hear the fan & HDD .. no boot up display as screen is blank.. DVD drive is responsive as i tried using a boot disk to start.. also used an external monitor to get a display but nothing.. i assume  a component on Mother board has failed as no POST is displayed. Systems is only 15 Months old..

Try turning off the unit, pull out the power plug, wait 30 sec, hold the power button for 30 sec, plug in the power cord, make sure no media or thumb drive or any usb devices are plugged into the system and then try to boot the unit

Sorry already tried seems to be dead .. although have concerns if HDD is actually working now.

Has this been resolved now, as mine is doing the same, albeit, intermittently.
I have tried to to do the above but doesn't resolve the issue.
I have tried to press ESC and after a couple of tries, it gets me to the blue screen where ESC, F10 and F11 are options to press, then this boots up normally.
And sometimes it takes a few tries to even get this far.
I read somewhere that the Nvidia GeForce graphics card is the culprit but surely not in my case if it boots up intermittently?
