I have just purchased a touchsmart 520 which i am delighted with but every time i switch on, the HP sspport assistant says I need to download updates. When I do this it successfully sets a restore point, checks available disk space and connects to the HP servers but then either fails to download the updates successfully or on the few occassions Ive managed to do this, it simply hangs when trying to instal/apply the updates. Firstly I want to know what the problem is and secondly, once Ive resolved it (with your help) do I really need to run this every time I switch on?
