HP Touchsmart 600 PC Stuck On BIOS Screen

I've just encountered a problem with my PC. When I turn it on it gets to a screen that says BIOS Revision: 5.11

and under that it has a bunch on statistics about the computer, well I think they are.

The thing is it stops saying Initialising USB Controllers and says done, and it stops there, it doesn't go any futher. It says Press F10 to go to setup but it doesn't work. 

Can I fix this easily or do I need to take it into the shop?

           Shut down your computer. Or just disconnect the power cord. Reconnect power cord if you used that method. Turn on computer and holp down on F-11 key this is your full recovery method. Your computer should start a full recovery to factory settings. If this fails then you know the hard drive is shot or memory chips are damaged. Then take your computer in for repairs. Good Luck I hope the  full recovery does the trick. Oh it will tell you if recovery fails another screen will display with more options just click on dynastic if it is your hard drive massaged will be hard drive not excist. Means hard drive is not being detected. Send computer in for replacement of parts.

I did that, but all holding down the F11 button did was cause he computer to make a weird noise and nothing else, it just stays on the BIOS screen. I'm guessing that means it's fked?

                 Your computer mabe still under one year warranty. Please check if that is the case contact HP Support and request a work order. Yes your computer is not fried. You just need to send it in for repairs. Sounds like a hard drive issue. Not to expensive fix. If out of warranty request a  price quote  first to replace hard drive.  Then you will have a good ideal of cost of repair. You can order a hard drive from HP parts for your computer and put it your self. How ever I do not know whats all involved in setting it up and installing operating system.
