HP Touchsmart with a BIOHD - 8 error code. What does it mean and what can I do?

Computer keeps crashing. Ran diagnostics and it came up with the error code BIOHD -8 for the hard drive. What do I do?

Typically, a BIOHD-8 error indicates your hard drive has either failed or is about to fail. If you haven't already made your HP Recovery Discs, do so now. Also, if you have any important data or files on the computer, back them up immediately. Next, you will want to purchase a replacement hard drive and install it in your computer. For more accurate assistance, please provide the full model and/or product number of the HP computer in question.

Model number is 1Q526T and Product # is NE481AV -ABA.Thanks for your reply. I am not at all computer technology literate so not sure how to go about fixing the issue, besides calling in a computer tech!

Here are the specs and ordering options for your HP TouchSmart IQ526t CTO Desktop Computer. Since this is a configure-to-order model, I have no way of knowing the size of the hard drive in your computer. Please post the size of the hard drive shown on your order slip or in Windows. Sizes available for ordering were;
320 GB 7200 rpm SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec)
500 GB 7200 rpm SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec)
640 GB 7200 rpm SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec)
750 GB 7200 rpm SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec)
1 TB 5400 rpm SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec)
