Re: Hi, is it possible to use a stylus?

The TouchSmart 600 series uses a  ir sensor array matrix to sense anything about 1/8" above the glass. You can use a stylus if you choose. There is no specific type (capacitive or resistive) of stylus needed.

Re: Hi, is it possible to use a stylus?

Erico, you mention that the TouchSmart 600 series uses a  ir sensor array matrix to sense anything about 1/8" above the glass so you/we can use a stylus if we choose. There is no specific type (capacitive or resistive) of stylus needed.

I'm looking at the 500 series (Models: 520-1020 pc or 520-1050 pc), does the same apply?

My application is I want to be able to open a simple Paint type program (ex: Corel Paint) and with a pen/stylus, write or draw ON THE TOUCHSCREEN (not using my fingers or mouse).

Would that work outside of:

1) the included Touchscreen programs/enviroments that come with the PC and/or (?)

2) with these 500 series models - or would they work / work better with a 600 series?

Thanks in advance for any answer or quidance.   Jeff
