How to get the sound to work in the calendar

I have the touchscreen IQ.  I am setting up my calendar and have no sound when the calendar is to alert me to appointments..

Have tried all the sound buttons and they are working ok.

Hello SheilaM:

              My HP Touchsmart 600-1050 Touchsart 3 version software Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit does not give that option only visual alert window appears. The calendar program most be opened to veiw it. The only sound option is those programs that display speakers and micro phone.   Computer Narrator does not read alerts. as well. Only tool bar features are played. Sorry. I do not think there's is a program that playes alert mesages with calendar . You can set it up to alert you in email account. Aol 9..7 desktop might have. Your Internet Explror might have it but you need to enable toolbare. I know Aol alerts you about almost everything else with sound. Never tried it with calendar reminders. Sorry.
