For the last couple of weeks, I've noticed that my touchscreen is not responding to my touch (I still get the beep sound), outside of when I start the TouchSmart program with the mouse, I can use my finger to navigate through the applications, but once the application is started, nothing. Windows Desktop doesnt respond either by touch. It wont let me calibrate with my finger (mouse works, but that is not the solution obviously.) I've spoken online with HP and they suggesting uninstalling then reinstalling the TouchSmart programs and Touch screen configuration programs...still nothing!

Sorry to trouble you , I just wondered what the outcome of your issue was? The problems I am having with my new IQ522 machine sound identical to the problems you were having.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
