IQ510 display not right

I have just bought the IQ510uk Touchsmart PC with Vista Home Premium. The display was great and then after two days of using it, the display is all pixelated (i.e. really bad display). What was a white background is now very thin pink and white stripes!
Is this something to do with Vista. Any help would be appreciated as I cannot figure out why this should be happening after only just having the PC for two/three days.

That doesn't sound good. I haven't personally heard of anything like this related to Vista. You may want to try re-installing the original graphics driver and see if that helps. If it doesn't.....
I would call HP as you may have a failed screen or graphics card.

Maaaaate....
G'day. I am very sorry to say but it is terminal. I took a machine home from the shop and upon opening the box, and setting up - it immediately presented the symptoms you desrcibe. I took it right back - an hour later - and after a couple of phone calls to HP, announced it terminal and I walked out of the store with a new machine (no probs since then - best computer I;ve ever had and love it!). The pink-ish screen and off-pixelation was the dead give-away.
I'd touch base with the vendor or HP...

Hi JimT,
Mine was an HP Touchsmart 508i (An Australian model)... With the exception of a mystery problem getting the HP Touchsmart Updates to install after they download, I've been 100% happy with the system since the "horrific monitor" model got swapped in the first instance. The chaps at the store had seen it once before... and HP seemed aware of the problem, so perhaps there was a problem batch?
