Loose power while using Microsoft word

My 2010 Touchsmart just blacks out if I unplu it and plug it back in it comes back but we have lost everything right before it blacked out of course.

It might be a good idea so start troubleshooting with this document.  When you described the issue, I thought of the power supply, which might be the case.
