Need help please!!!!!

Hi I have two questions involving two problems that have popped up on my IQ504 TouchSmart Pc recently that concern me. Let me start off by saying I am not computer smart. If you have solutions to my any of my two problems please explain in simple detail. First off, every so often I'll randomly get an error that reads the following exactly:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Program:...ckard/TouchSmart/Media/Kernel/CLML/CLMLSvc.exe

A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated."

What does this mean and how do I fix it? Please let me know if you have a solution, thank you.

Now, as for my second problem. Once a month my computer runs a "Hardware Diagnostics Tools" program to check out every component of my computer to make sure everything is in critical working condition. Recently a few days ago when the scan was over a problem under the alerts came up. Theres a problem with my "Microsoft 6to4 Adapter". The problem reads exactly as follows:

"Microsoft 6to4 Adapter

Device type: network adapters

Manufacturer: Microsoft

Location: Unknown

Device Status:

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
Click 'check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if theres a solution available."

Now I've tried clicking on check for solutions and nothing comes up after its done searching. If anyone has any solutions and descriptions to either or both of these problems please let me know as soon as possible. Please remember I'm not a computer guru. If you know of any solutions explain it simply step by step. Thank you very much.

Sounds like an issue specific to Vista, have you checked this forum below?  It deals with the issue you are describing.

Hi there, im having the same problem as sad squall... sometimes i get this error message but havent noticed why does it happens...

hello,

you both should try installing the updates for touchsmart software for your PC's, click on the support & drivers link from top of this page, check mark the Download drivers and software (and firmware) option and then enter your product number in the field and click go.  Then click on the Windows vista (64bit) link.

for the network adapter issue, try downloading and installing the LAN card driver update.

for the touchsmart software related issue, download and install each of the updates for touchsmart.

it might be a bug with the program - can you reproduce the problem or does it simply popup for no reason at all? If you can reproduce the problem, then it might be worth telling us how to reproduce it, we can then try on our pcs the same to see if it also happens on ours..

or to be on the safe side - you might want to scan your system for a virus, just in case a virus is causing this to happen

yes, it simply popup for no reasen at all, dont know if it may help but my optimize for touch and optimize for mouse doesnt work... i keep getting a message while i try to run it, "the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect" duno if the main problem if because of that... thnx btw
