Recovery: mouse keyboard not recognized

Touchsmart 300-1025, Win7x64, system recovery boots to Cyberlink, but wifi mouse and keyboard don't work and Cyberlink cannot be controlled to compete recovery! Tried wired keyboard and mouse and nothing, no control.

Reseated RAM after wiping contacts with a cotton cloth to remove static charge buildup as recommended by HP TotalCare. Didn't make sense, but worked!
