Hey, SmartTouch originally have some small programs associated startup such as Number lock on, Mouse and Keyboard battery monitoring. I am wondering how can I remove them because it seems useless. They show 0% battery remaining for my mouse and keyboard, but they work perfectly.
However, if I remove it from startup, how can I get them back later.

I haven't tried this for myself, I don't have the urge to disable them as yet, but one might want to try,....
Start->Run->Type in, msconfig ->OK
Then click on the "Startup" tab and locate and disable the HP Keyboard,... You'll need to reboot to test to see if the little task icons stop from loading up.
You can then re-enable them by following the same procedure...

You may need to install the HP Keyboard driver for your model of the laptop (notebook) - you probably do not have them installed. Go to the hp.com web site and click on Support & Drivers link at the top of the page, then click on Drivers & Software, enter the product number or name of your notebook and hit search,..
