Switching Colors on Ambient Lighting

Hello all,

I read in the user's manual that you can switch colors.  I followed the directions just like it said.  However, after you click on HP and it says to click on Ambient Lighting there, there is no selection there for Ambient Lighting.  So what is the real trick to switch the colors?

Go to Control Panel, then click on Hardware and Sound, then look in the left hand column and you will see Additional Options.  Click on that and you will see the Ambient Light.  You can just move your curser over the desired color you want.

Hope that helps. I am surprised that you had 42 views on this and no one helped.

Re: Switching Colors on Ambient Lighting

Try this then...Control Pane/Classic View/HP Ambient Light.  From there you just move the curser to the color you want.

Re: Switching Colors on Ambient Lighting

I was eager to try these fixes but unfortunately I cannot find HP Light using either of these methods.  I have a 64bit IQ546t.  Any others suggestions?

Re: Switching Colors on Ambient Lighting

Tried the update - twice.  Still can find no reference to Ambient Light anywhere on this darned computer!  The light works great so I guess I'll just be happy to have white light.  Won't waste anymore time on this.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Switching Colors on Ambient Lighting

Yeah, my computer doesn't have it either.  My husband spent about 20 minutes looking through everything on the control panel and no dice.  I'll ask them about it tomorrow since HP is working a different issue with this computer.  Maybe I'll have a decent answer, like they stopped making that a feature.

Re: Switching Colors on Ambient Lighting

I tried the update as well and after downloading the install was cancelled for " not meeting minimum system requirements."  Not a big deal but I feel like I was sitting in that bank commercial where the one girl gets the toy pony and the other gets the real thing, and asking why she did not receive the real deal, only to be told, "Well, you didnt ask."  I'll survive of course but should have read the fineprint.
