TOUCHSMART 310-1210la Hardware issues

Hello, the disc reader has stopped working, this happened a few weeks ago. My computer doesn't read discs any more, even though you can hear the lector moving inside and trying to read the rolling disc.

Hello maurilion:

           It is called optical drive. You can order it from HP parts store. Yours is very easy to replace. Please goto your computers web page . In search box on HP page Type in Replacing Optical Drive. Then goto parts and order it. Check your warranty see if you still have time remaining if so contact HP Derect Support they will write up an job oder and send you one by Fed Ex.
