Touch Screen

On the older vista Touchsmart you could set the screen to only touch  to get a click

(In my C# programs I use mousedown events instead of mouseclick events..)

Now you have to touch and release to get a click, this makes it very hard  for people with

disabilities, is there any way to set up the screen or use the old ntrig driver to get the

screen to respond to touch only,(mousedown event) not touch and release the way it is now.

Thanks

Re: Touch Screen

What TouchSmart model are you trying to make the adjustment on?

Re: Touch Screen

Also, please specify if you have a desktop all-in-one PC, or a notebook.

Re: Touch Screen

Hi Nova,

This seems to be an issue in the way Win7 interprets "touches" as "clicks" (you'll notice even with a mouse, the "click" event is on button up).  There may be a way to fundamentally change this in Win7 with a registry key but I'm not sure what it would be.
