My apologies - I said FW driver - I meant, firmware - on the support and drivers page.
The inbox Windows 7 driver should work OK, but you can try Windows Update to get the most current if one is newer. It should work. The updated FW should also work - even if you're using the Vista driver on Win7...

@sumsolstice
I still get the orange hues on everything still when using win7 drivers. I don't know how to adjust the monitor and mess it worse everytime I try. I will probably just move back to Vista drivers and save myself some headaches.
but, the firmware seemed to do the trick, except for one new game and I get flicking worse than ever. but my older games all play fine except everything has an orange tint to it.
@mikepollus
Maybe if you try creating a new post, you can get some help. Ranting isn't going to get your PC running, but I do feel for you!

Which SoftPaq are you trying to install? What is the number that it says along with the statement? (9995, 9997, etc?).
Sometimes you can get the message if you are trying to apply an update that's already installed. Sometimes its due to trying to install the update on the wrong OS (a vista driver, on a Win7 system, etc).
More info would help.

i have the exact same problem. i performed the download and update, but the update said " your system does not meet minimum requirements. update canceled. (9998)". i have the same HP Touch smart as the before said. why will it not update?
