When I touch the screen a mouse shows up and you can click on it and use it. I want to turn it off. (841 Views)

When I touch the screen a mouse shows up and you can click on it and use it. I want to turn it off.

I have the same problem...I have emailed HP for an answer...When I get it i will pass it on.

I have a ghost figure of a mouse on my screen when i touch it.

 

I wrote HP and the directions are:

 

Shut down computer.

Unplug.

While unplugged, hold start button more than 10 seconds.

Plug back in.

Power on.

Next run a system restore to a date before the problem started.

 

I did this and my system will not restore. 

 

If your computer will restore, maybe it will fix your problem.  If not, check with HP support.

After i tried the steps (i've previously told you) and they did not work, another HP rep emailed me with another step.

 

They had me shut down the computer.  When I re-started i pressed F8 till the boot screen came up.

 

Scroll down to safe mode and click enter.

 

Now go to start menu and go to system restore.  I did this and it fixed my problem.
