I am just about to purchase a new PC, I have pretty much decided to opt for a 610 Touchsmart, I am thinking of buying the
610-1230uk (intel 15 2390T) direct from HP, although I have seen a 610-1130uk (intel i5 650) for sale elsehwhere for a fraction more.
I take it the 610-1230UK is a newer model, although the spec is the same other than the processor, would it be advisable for me to go for this newer model instead of the 610-1130UK, bcause of hardware software updates and newer processor etc?
Does the '12' denote the year of release?

Steve, welcome to the forum.
Personally, I would buy the 610-1230uk; released 14-Sept-2011. As you stated, it is newer than the 1130uk; released 13-Jun-2011. However, I am not certain that you would see much difference in the system performance.

Many thanks for the reply....the 1130uk seems to have a slightly higher spec graphics card and faster processor, but as you say the chance of 'seeeing' a difference is a slim one I suppose, so maybe the 610-1230uk beingnewer is the best bet .
I dont intend to do much gaming,so its mostly general use, with my biggest requirement being for photo editing using Adobe CS3 or higher.
