Re: health check and updates

I think you just have to click the Remind me later and then hit "never".

I believe there is a place where you can delete the item.

Re: health check and updates

I think you are talking about Total Care Advisor? The tiles can display a red square with an exclamation mark next to items that are attended to. For example, if there is a critical update available and it is not installed the PC Update tile in Total Care Advisor display a red exclamation mark.

I think you are also talking about the messages from the PC Action Center tab on Total Care Advisor. All you have to do is read and respond to the messages(click a button to start an action) and they close when the action is done.

You can change various option in Total Care Advisor by clicking the little wrench button in the upper right.

All about Total Care Advisor

You change the various setting in HP Health Check by clicking Settings at the top.

Another integrated program that is important as well is HP Update. You can run it from the Start menu or it'll be available when there are updates from HP.

Re: health check and updates

Logically deleting or hitting the "never" button gets rid of the notice, but why is it there to begin with. Also, what "check" should it do to see that it has been corrected?

Re: health check and updates

I think you are referring to the initial critical message in Total Care Advisor that is telling you that you should make a set of recovery discs. To get rid of this message, click the little button to open the recovery disc creator program ... and then create a set of recovery discs from a couple of blank DVDs.
