I will like to purchase the recovery dvds for a touchsmart 300-1000la desktop computer. I am unable to find the the url tp point me to the instructions for placing this order.

You provided the wrong link not a note book. cliveld asked for recovery disk HP Touchsmart 300-10001a . Here you are cliveld . Please check your HP Touchsmart model number again. I do not know what country you live in there for I could not provide you the correct link . This link is the first one listed under HP 300-1000 series. Might be helpfull.

To be quite honest the recovery dvd was created and is not working. The recovery on the hard drive is giving a code purple. The system hard drive failed when the machine was on warranty and was replaced by a hp partner, however that image is not working now. My guess is that the image on the recovery partition was not the correct image hence the reason for the code purple and the failed recovery.

Don't worry as long as you have recovery disk from previous drive. Your ok. I going to check your computers web page. You can recover your computer by that disk. Long process though. I get back to you as soon as I can. Just want to reveiw your computers pages first. Besides they are going to close temporary.

I want to believe that the recovery image on the HDD, that was replaced under warranty which I created the recovery discs from is the wrong image. I fail to accept that the correct disc will give me an error " the recvoery disc you are trying to use is not for this model computer". For this reason I am certain the wrong image existed on the new drive.
Please let me know if you think I am wrong about my assumption.

Boy my internet browers sure do not like going out side of US territory . I landed on HP Support for Spain. The first page interpreted just fine. How ever from there it just started interpreting in total different language. I did find this recovery guide using recovery from cd/dvd drive. Witch I belive will be very help full to you.
I am now using Sarfri Internet Browser and Dogpile.com search engine to see if I can excess foreign HP websites.
On the web page above jump down to recovery using disks. Ok. Your set you made is supose to work. Did you get a hold of technical support by phone in your country yet? Options are given for failure first time. Other methods are listed as well. Thank goodness you still have the orginal recovery disks you made. My browsers freeze up trying to open up your computers information sheets.
