hp touchsmart 600-1350 external antenna

i like to use my touchsmart inside my all metal shop which is approx 250ft away from my house. ive got 2 bars from a d-link router with my doors up but loose signal when my doors are down. can i plug an external antenna into a touchsmart and would this take care of the problem?

After looking around a bit, this is all I could come up with.  It looks like there might have been some miscommunication in this post (link provided) but there might be something useful.

 

Sorry I couldn't help anymore.  Hopefully you'll get it straightened out and get your doors closed!

i do believe thats what im looking for george except imma go with the Super USB WiFi Antenna 3
