My system is a TouchSmart 600-1350. Windows 7 64-bit O/S.
Lately, every time I start or reboot the system, a dropdown window titled RunDLL appears. The text says: "There was a problem starting C:\Users....... (see above under subject). The specific module could not be found.". I click on OK, the dropdown window fades out. I don't seem to have a problem in the system. Can anyone explain what happened and whether a corrective action is necessary? Thank you. I am at {Personal Information Removed}

Hello okibiler:
Three things you can do to try to fix corrupted files.
1. Run a complete PC tune up using HP Sopport Assistant. Make sure you check mark all delete temp files, Empty recycling bin and Chek mark Microsoft Defrag. See if this corrects your dll. problem.
2. Run Check Disc. Goto my computer click on C.drive, Select properties Click on Tools tab. Click on Check now. Next window Check Disk HP (C
Important to check mark both boxes Then click start next window click on schedule disk check. Close out all open whindows and restart your computer.
If the first has not corrected the issue then preceed to step 3.
3. Microsoft Recovery . Goto all programs search box. Type in Recovery Manger will be listed above now. Click on it. When it opens select Microsoft System Restore. Click Next Click Next again. Now choose date before this issue happened. Select date. Click next. This will correct the issue for sure by deleting what ever caused issue.

Thanks for the reply. I went through all three steps. The dropdown window still appears when restarting. Is there anything else that can be done?

Hello okibilir:
Back recover did not fix it? You need to undo last restore and go even futher back in time. Until it is gone. You should know how long ago the last time your computer work right with out this error message.http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_fix_run_dll_a
