i have an hp touch smart pc 520 and cant get the mouse to work after i chance the batteries

Actually there is.

With almost all wireless and bluetoth mice and keyboard there is a button you pave to press on the transceiver dongle and then on the bottomof the  mouse/keyboard  to connect them again wirelessly.

 

Here is an HP document with an explanation of how it works.
