My keyboard doesn´t work

I just got mu Touchsmart TX2 1020US but my keyboard doesn´t work... my touchpad works, all the lights works but not the keyboard.

Is there a lock key?

I´m in Brazil and the support here says they don´t assist this product.

What do I do?

Hmmm, if you purchased the product in Brazil and HP shipped it to sell in Brazil, I would think HP would be able to provide support.

 

When you called in, did you select "notebooks"? This forum is about "desktop" TouchSmarts - the big ones with the big pretty screens and detached keyboards. Maybe the phone system is tailered to desktop "TouchSmarts" and maybe you need to select notebook PCs as a early choice in the phone system.

 

Anyway, if you are on your own, it might be that the ribbon cable for the keyboard is simply not plugged in all the way. You use the service guide for your product to remove the cable and plug in the cable.

If it needs replaced, the guide also lists part numbers (including a keyboard for Brazil).

check the battery if so

replace the battery

i thought is was one of those big touchscreen

desktop computer  sorry

 

when you get the computer

if so recent depending on the

return policy return for exchange or refund
