2 easy questions - setting preferences

I have an HP Photosmart C7180 All-in-One.

I would like to change the settings from Print Properties/Features/Print Quality/Normal (the default) to .../.../.../Fast Draft.

I would also like to change the settings from Print Properties/Colors/Print in Color (the default) to .../.../Print in Greyscale.

I was able to find how to do this on my last HP, but just can't seem to put my cursor on it this time!  Can anyone help, please?

What operating system? In Windows the settings are generally set from the Printers folder.  If you set the printing preferences here they will become default.  If you set the preferences from the  Advanced, Printing Defaults area they will apply to all users as well.

Hi Bob!  My maiden name was Hedrick!

I'm using Windows 7.  I don't see those as options ... I really tried!  Can you be  more specific with the Win 7 info?  Thanks for your quick response!

The following should resolve your issue:  click Start, Devices and Printers.  Right click on the Photosmart C7100 series and select Printing Preferences.  On the Printing Shortcuts tab select Print Quality, Fast Draft, Apply.  (While there is may help to select Paper Type, Plain Paper, Apply.)  Now click on the Color tab and select Print in Grayscale, Black printing Only, Apply, OK.
