I have a c309g Premium netted with two HP desktops running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit, and an Acer laptop running Win Vista 32 bit. When I try to print two 5X7, 4X6, or multiple wallet size photos on a single 8.5 X 11 sheet, it will only print one image. This occurs on all three PCs. I use Windows Picture Manager and HP photo Creations photo managing SW, on all three PCs and it does this on both SW. I contacted HP Support via email and they had me download drivers for the Deskjet 990c and it does the same thing. They told me they were referring my problem to an "Advanced Support Team". That was a week ago and I have not heard from that team. I can work-around by using Word to set up multiple photos but that is a royal pain! Does anyone have a fix?

Hi Canberra.
HP Photo Creations doesn't currently print multiple photos in the way you're describing, but there is a workaround:
- Choose the Collage Prints project instead of Prints. This lets you place multiple photos on a page.
- Add your photos and select the Plain White theme.
- Select the Design tools and then the Photo Borders tab.
- Hold down the Shift key and click the first border preset (no border, no shadow). Holding Shift applies the style to all photos on the page.
- Resize and position each photo as desired. (Tip: Holding down the Shift key while dragging a photo will let you move it all the way to the edge of the page for borderless printing.)
You can set the paper size on the Print & Order screen. It may take some experimentation to get the sizes of each photo to output at exact dimensions, but with a frame, you should be able to get close enough. At any rate, this should be faster than trying to do layouts in Word.
Thanks for writing.

Microsoft Office Picture Manager is supposed to allow multiple prints on the same page. However, when I choose two prints it will only show one and will only print one. This is obviously a disconnect between Office and the printer.

Your response is a real pain.
HP had a great software (Photosmart Photo Printing version 1.5) which was very simple to use and it worked great.
To bad they lost their way did not port it to Windows 7.
Photo Creations is nothing I want or care to use.

No pain intended. Canberra requested a fix and I offered a workaround. Using the technique above, you can print multiple images on a single page with HP Photo Creations. (If you live in the US or Australia, you can also order prints for home delivery at a similar cost per print.)
Your suggestion to make it easier to print multiple images is a good one, and I'll share it with our team. Note that HP Photo Creations is not a direct substitute for older software, though. It's a new program designed for creativity. That said, we're constantly improving it and we welcome thoughtful suggestions. What features would you like to see?

I have just bought a new HP PC and am very disappointed that I can no longer use the Photosmart Photo Printing software i had with my old printer/PC. It was fantastic for the printing templates as you could design your own sizes. Have searched the internet to get something similar but they are all too fancy for my needs! Have tried Photo Creations and do not like it at all. Wish I still had the installation disk as I would try to install on windows 7 !
Anyone know a similar package I could use?

@js1234
Have you tried the steps provided by Rocketlife?? Also try installing HP Photosmart Essential using the link which I provided above and see if it works or not.

Hi.
I used Photosmart 2.6 on my XP machine and it did pretty much what I wanted it to do: print several (usually different) photos in different sizes on a single piece of 8.5 x 11 paper. When I got my new Windows 7 compute several months ago I could not find the software. Apparently it was no longer being made. I did note Photoessentials but ignored it because it mentioned only XP and Vista, not 7. Yesterday I wanted to print three 4x6 photos for my wife’s photo book. I installed Photo Creations and, selecting collage, was able to get three photos on a single page. However, there was nothing I could find that would guarantee that the photos would be printed as 4x6s. I could resize each on the page but that’s not the guarantee I wanted. So I came to these pages and found this topic.
As I result, I just installed Photoessentials 3.5. It seems to do what I want. I was able to print the three 4x6s on a page. I haven’t tried anything beyond that but it seems that you have a lot more options, not unlike the old Photosmart.
Let me finish with a quick response to RocketLife’s statement
“Your suggestion to make it easier to print multiple images is a good one, and I'll share it with our team. Note that HP Photo Creations is not a direct substitute for older software, though. It's a new program designed for creativity. That said, we're constantly improving it and we welcome thoughtful suggestions. What features would you like to see?”
I agree that it’s nice to have access to creative options but sometimes some people just want to print one or more photos, possible not all the same size, on a single piece of paper. That was available with Photosmart. Someone at HP decided it was not worthwhile. I think that was a mistake. I’m sure the code to do that still exists. Why not add it to Photo Creations as an option?
Thanks for the mention of Photoessentials. It seems to do the job.
Rufus

As I said, it does the same thing on Photo Creations. One thing that P's me off and illustrates the angst people have with tech support, is that HP told me they were referring my prob to an "Advanced Team" and I never heard squat from that "team" This is the second time this has happened to me. I have had HP products for years and was satisfied with their tech support. It seems however that something at HP has changed. They have people in support who they pick up off the street, give them a day of training, a script, and turn them loose on their customers. When these "Techies" can't solve the problem with a cookie cutter solution, they blow them off!!
I think I have bought my last HP product! Thanks for your help.
