This could mean nearly anything. Any error messages show up on the computer when you try to print?

Thanks for answer.

No, the very small printer has only one signal lamp, the one that is imbedded in the on/ of switch.

The small printer has been  running fine and dandy for year until a piece of paper went in askew and was stuck.

I pulled it out and noticed that there was a real hard pull necessary. The paper came out ok and in one piece, BUT I am afraid that something has been bent or is damaged inside the printer.

Unfortunately, I think you're right. Again, hard to say for sure on this model, but I'm guessing the blinking is probably trying to indicate a paper jam. Maybe something got stuck/bent/etc when it did jam, and now the printer still thinks there's paper stuck somewhere.

is there a door on the bottom of the printer? Maybe check that out, might be a scrap of paper stuck there. That's the only other way to access the paper path aside from the input and output areas.
