HP had a class action suit about their printers using color ink to print black and white.
These printers use color inks even when they are printing black.
If you look at the ink level using HP Solution Center, Settings, Printer Settings, Printer Toolbox, Estimated Ink Levels, before and after printing a black and white page you will see that the color levels have decreased.

No need to buy cartridges, no need to phone HP, no wasted time or money.
do the above to print in black only on d7360 (empty color cartridge is still in the printer)
Worked perfectly! Thanks HP support for nothing, fail fail fail!
