Firefox add-on to replace Smart Web Printing [ Edited ]

I've already posted this in response to another question, but thought I would make a new post for those who might miss it.

I've been waiting for  a helluva long time for HP to smarten up & make Smart Web Printing usable on Firefox (anything after 3.5). It was one of the main reasons I bought their printer. Since they don't seem to care about us FF users, I went looking for an add-on that would help. If you just want to be able to delete sections from a page to make it more compact before printing, & not waste as much ink/paper, then check out the "Print Edit" add-on. It doesn't do everything SWP did, but it's better than nothing. Hope this helps.

i had the problem of printing in firefox i uninstalled just the smart web printing feature and i can now print in firefox fine

try screen hunter free. I used it to edit some web screen shots lately.

There has been many many posts concerning HP Smart Web Printing and Firefox. Now Firefox is up to 3.6.13 and there isn't one that works.There are several workarounds suggested by some good folks around here, but as far as HP itself goes, well....... there it is..... It "Looks" like Firefox/Mozilla is going to be giving us their Version 4 browser sometime soon here. MAYbe HP is waiting for the major change before they start fighting the version change debacle !!!!!! Looks like you and I are waiting along with a myriad of others.........

I followed your suggestion and I LIKE screen hunter...... I may just have to get my hands on the complete package that's offered, but for now, the Freeware version is quite all-right !!!!!
