HP Deskjet 3050 J610a ePrint Issues

I have a HP Deskjet 3050 J610a printer which is listed as being both ePrint and AirPrint capable on the HP list of compatible printers.

 

However, I cannot get a Web Services tab at all when either accessing the printer via its IP address or on the printer menu.

 

I cannot find a firmware update on the support section for the printer and have had no response from HP via warranty covered email. Can anyone help in getting this working, I can print wirelessly easily from the main machine it was installed on but cannot see the printer from any ePrint apps or from AirPrint apps. When printing of the configuration pages no printer code or email address is printed. Web Services is showing as enabled on the Microsoft section.

 

The HP support pages only show help information relating to ePrint for Photosmart, Officejet, Laserjet and Designjet printers despite saying they support Deskjet.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated because this is starting to annoy me now...

I am having the same issue.  I have contacted HP support and awaiting a reply.  Did you manage to resolve the problem?

 

This is what I have sent to HP Customer Support

 

"I am trying to setup eprint services.  After going online and joining the eprint centre I have been unable to add the printer to my account as I cannot find the ability to set it up?  Ie start the services on the printer and find the "printer code" or email address.

I am having the same issue as well I have researched online and have yet to find anything. Were you able to resolve this problem?

NO reply yet from HP Support.  I guess the more people that ask the question we may get an answer?  As sson as I get a reply I will popst the info on this forum.  Cheers

Is there no other software compatible with the printer that can support those features? The guy at the apple store said it was possible to print from my iphone....

Well after two automated responses telling me what I already knew and failing to answer any of the questions I was starting to lose my patience.

 

I asked that they change their web site which clearly states that the Deskjet 3050 is supported, apparently only the 3050e is supported. So say 3050e then not 3050!!!

 

This is the response I eventually received:

 

Thank you for getting back to us.

I understand from your email that you have HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer - J610a you are not able to find the Printer code to set your HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer - J610a on eprint or enable Web Services. I see that the printer is listed as an ePrint and AirPrint enabled device yet none of the support articles refer to the Deskjet series.

Marc, I am glad to assist you with your issue and concern. I request you to please let us know the website name or provide us the website link where in it states that HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer - J610a is an ePrint and AirPrint enabled device so that we can correct this immediately and avoid any further confusion.

I appericiate your time so far to interact with us and give us an opportunity to assist you.

PS... No matter how many emails are sent I do not accept this as a solution, it is not resolved. Adjust your own compatibility guide and THEN after an apology we will accept this as resolved.
