That isnt fair, that is why i bought this printer along with my mac a couple weeks ago. My apple salesman told me that i can print via wifi from my laptop as well as my iPhone. Now because of a mistake due to HP's incompetence, I was sold a printer which i paid $100 for (still waiting for rebate), that wont allow me to print via iphone. Even with an apology, this isnt resolved for me.

Hello everyone,
The supported model matrix has been updated! The DJ 3050 has been replaced with the DJ 3050a, plus additional models have been added.
One more thing... If you have mobile device (iOS, Android, Symbian) and a DJ 3050, you do have a printing solution. You can install the free HP ePrint Home & Biz app. This app will allow you to print to ~ 200 different HP printer models, including legacy networkable and HP ePrint-enabled printers.

Hello SophieT10,
The DJ 3050 J610a doesn't support ePrint or Airprint at all. But, there's an app for the iPhone/iTouch/iPod that will allow you to print to your wirelessly connected DJ3050. The app is called HP ePrint Home & Biz. I haven't personally tested the app with the DJ 3050, but I've tested it with printers that are a few years older.
I encourage you to try the FREE app before returning the printer. Go to the App Store and the app will be one of the first results if you search for HP ePrint.
BTW, this app is also available for Android and Symbian devices.

Both,
I was the one who had to send the link to HP to get the list of supported printers changed, the support desk didn't even know where to find it...
The app on the iPhone is the reason this topic came about. We need the printer ID or eprint email address in order to register the printer with the application. It does not find it as a wireless printer from within the app. I have been told that this printer does not support internet connections at all, you are saying that it does or it would not be supported by the HP app via iPhone.
Can we please have clarity on this, if it is indeed supported by the app and has an ID we can register on the HP site please supply instructions. We have been told we cannot by the support desk.

I have downloaded HP Eprint home & biz. it asks for a printer ID.. I have entered many codes in however none of them worked. Your website has no instructions on how to access the printer ID for deskjet 3050. Please clarify and include instructions. This issue has been long overdue.

Hi,
I cannot setup the DJ 3050 with the app ePrint Home & Biz as well. It is annoying. Any specific instrction to use it?
BTW, I found ePrint(Not the hp one) in the App Store does support my 3050, but it costs $2.99 without scan capability...
Jack.

Hello everyone,
First, I need to clear something up. There is nothing wrong with the DJ 3050, it never shipped with web services and was never intended to have web services. It's not broke and there's nothing to fix.
Folks who have a DJ 3050 and wish to print from their mobile device can print via the HP ePrint Home & Biz app. The app prompts you to register a web enable printer, but it's not required. In fact, I've been using the app since the first of Sept and I haven't registered any of my web enabled products.
Here's a link to the How to use HP ePrint, check out the section at the bottom of the page. This should get you through the rest of the process. BTW, I checked with the Cloud Services support team and they confirmed that the HP ePrint Home & Biz app is indeed a solution for DJ 3050 customers who wish to print from their mobile devices.
One more thing... this app works when both the printer and the mobile device are connected to the same wireless network. Scanning only works for printers that are web enabled and support ePrint. I hope that helps!

I did it your way, however when its time to print, the print tab is dim so when i tap it, it does nothing. It asks me for a printer email or to press the eprint button on the printer (which it doesnt have). I do not know how to get the printer email either. It says i have to add the printer but none of the options apply. Ive checked all around the printer for that eprint button and its not there.
