HP210a won't print pictures

When I print to the photo tray what the printer spits out is my picture on an 8-1/2x11.  If I try to set the photo tray as the default the yellow triange with the exclamation point appears on the icon.  Which means the photo tray is not allowed to be set up as the default tray.  Now for the weird part.  I go to the touch screen and touch the Tools icon.  I then hit the Printer Status Report and presto!...it prints!  What gives?!!!

Hi Crispy275,

It's possible this is some sort of communication / driver problem.

 

Try re-installing the driver, does that solve it?

It appears that my printer is now functioning.  Not sure what I did or what my computer did to be honest.  What I did do, however, was reboot my printer.  Maybe that did it?  Hard to know.

 

Ciara, would you happen to have a solution to the other issue I was having?  Search my posts and you'll see what I mean.  It has to do with the printer app on my Itouch and my computer not recognized the network address.
