Photosmart C6150 won't print from photo tray

Photosmart C6150 will not print from the photo tray via the network computers.  If you plug a memory stick into it and select the tray it will print from the photo tray.  I have reinstalled the drivers, turned the printer on and off no difference.  Both computers on the network will print to the main tray with no problem.

I have a few questions:  what operating system? What program are you printing from?  One thing I would like you to try would be as follows:  exit the photo printing program.  Next go to the printers folder and select the Photosmart c6150 and then set the printing preferences to use the photo tray and photo paper.  Apply these settings, then reopen your photo program and try printing.  Does this use the proper tray?  If so it would appear the photo program is ignoring the local printing preferences but is using the global settings.  After your test you will probably want to return to the printers folder and reset the printing defaults.

 

Please report your results, I am trying to find a pattern in a similar issue.

I have two computers on the network, one is using windows xp the other is using vista.  I was trying to print from Windows photo viewer on the Vista Computer, on the XP computer it was from the windows photo printing wizard.  I tried your suggestion and it would not print.  The interesting thing is that it spools the picture and acts as if it is printing it, but it does not print and there is no message on the printer or the computer that it did not print.  It appears to just dissapear.

Have the same, no pickup of photo paper from PC stoared photos, but does work fine with card in printer. Spent 90 minutes with HP "help" only to be told they'd have to check and get back with me in 24-48 business hours.

 

When I tried to set preferences to the photo tray, I got a Yellow Traingale and the system would not allow me to apply the change to photo paper. 

 

I have alos notices this no photo paper pick up seems to be on many HP models.  My old photojet worked fine with no extar change of settings.it was a D7460.  Progress, eh?
