Hello Mntweaver,

This is actually Word causing this problem. Here are the steps to turn it off.

  1. Click the 'Office Button' (top-left corner of the window) then 'Print'
  2. Click 'Options' (bottom-left corner of the print window)
  3. Choose the 'Display' section
  4. Untick 'Print document properties'
  5. Click OK to all the windows and you're done

WOW, Thanks so much I had been trying, and getting nowhere. As soon as I googled the problem, this solution came up and it fixed the problem. Again thanks I would have been searching for the solution in the printer settings still.

But NOT for the Maverick.  However, the solution led me to search for "document properties"and I found the answer--

Go to Word Preferences

Choose "Print"

Unclick "document properties"

Thanks for the push in the right direction.
