yeah, typical of HP ..... it's not like they didn't know IE8 was coming ... this is why Microsoft puts out betas WAY in advance so companies like HP can get their products compatible.
but no, not HP ....
I'm getting sick of this company .... time to find a better printing service company
This isn't the first time this has happened. ... same thing with IE 6 to IE 7 with other HP software.

If I ran my company like HP does theirs, I'm not sure I would still be in business.
Let me know where (if) I'm wrong in my thinking. Beta of IE 8 has been out for quite some time correct?
One reason beta programs are released is so that other software companies can test their software against a new release, correct?
Therefore it is unforgiveable that HP has been dragging their heals coming up with a solution for Smart Web printing for IE 8 (and by the way, they still haven't done so for Firefox 3.xx)
Is it just me, or is this just poor customer service?

Hi all,
I'm happy to report that the HP Smart Web Printing Software is now compatible with Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista and XP. You can download the new software by going to the HP Smart Web Printing product support page (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product

maybe i spoke to hastily.
i see that when going to the site, it is compatible with ie8 but i haven't tried yet.
it's interesting though that while in ie7 if you click on the update for smart web printing, it says no update is available
and now that I installed this latest version, guess what ... the smart web printing icon is GONE
so something is still not right
this is a 1/2 apology
