IE9 has not yet been released in final form, it is still in Beta.  I do not know if HP has any plans to support the Web Printing application on IE9, but if they do I would not expect them to release anything before the official IE9 release.

It won't let me use HP Smart Web Printing I guess with IE 9 until IE 9 is released in final form, not just the RTM version. So I will have to wait before printing in IE. The update link in the error message is bad.

Thought Smart Print was supposed to work on Internet Explorer 6 and above

According to minimum requirements:

Smart Print works on Windows XP SP3, Vista and Win 7 and currently supports only Internet Explorer 6.0 and above.

IE 9 has been in beta for several months and has been released for a few weeks, come on HP.

It is March 25, 2011.

I am about to upgrade to IE9 final release.

I wanted to check and see if HP Smart Print is ready for IE9, and apparently,  it is not.

This irks me.

I had to wait for months for HP to get Smart Print ready for IE8 before I could upgrade, and now it appears I will have to wait again for HP to code an upgrade for Smart Print, for IE9.

Considering that there has been beta versions, an RC version, and now the FInal Release version of IE9, and that months have passed during these processes, why do you (at HP) not have an HP Smart Print coded and available for the new IE9?

HP Smart Print is one of your best features, a genius add on that becomes forever necessary the first time you use it.

I am disappointed that HP cannot stay up to date, cannot anticipate these changes and upgrades, and be ready for them.

Someone tell me when HP Smart Print is ready for IE9.

(My Firefox browser has an upgrade available. I betcha IT is HP Smart Print ready).

I would like this for IE 9 and Firefox 4 but both needs to be updated. How about Google Chrome and Safari as well ? How hard can that be ? For now I will be uninstalling Smart Web Printing . This is the 2nd largest progam on my laptop at 422 MB

IE9 has been released in final form, it is no longer in Beta.  I do not know if HP has any plans to support the Web Printing application on IE9, but if they do I would hope that they release it soon. Also, I had been using it on Firefox 3, but it does not work on Firefox 3.6.16 or Firefox 4.
