Smart web printing again

Is no-one from Hp going to answer the many queries regarding Smart web printing and IE 9? I have downloaded the Bing bar and have installed the smart web printing program. The Bing bar does not show an icon. How do we access it?

Re: Smart web printing again

The smart printing page here says IE9 will be supported in June 2011, which has now come and gone.   I would suggest checking there for updates, I would hope it will be soon.

Re: Smart web printing again

I had already followed that link. I've tried it again but it says the Bing bar is already installed but turned off. I followed the instructions but the bar is already turned on and in the manage add-ons section everything to do with the Bing bar and smart web printing is enabled. I still do not have an icon on the toolbar and no idea how to access smart web. Any further suggestions would be appreciated as this is an application which I find great use for. Just for info. I am running windows 7 Home premium x64 with an hp photosmart C6280 all-in-one on a non Hp desktop pc.

Re: Smart web printing again

The page I referenced says support for IE6, IE7 and IE8 with IE9 support to come.  I would suggest checking back there for updates.  (The updates are not there yet but I would expect that when the updates for IE9 are available it would be indicated there.)

Re: Smart web printing again

find  internet settings ind  IE9, and go to advanced settings, reset internet explorer to standard settings, restart IE9 and a window will pop up, select standard security settings. then try to install the Bing bar again from the web site

Re: Smart web printing again

Thank you so much. Success at last :smileyvery-happy: All I've got to do now is get used to the web printing. It's very different from the earlier version which I had.

Re: Smart web printing again

How do you find "advanced settings"?

I went to TOOLS>INTERNET OPTIONS>ADVANCED but see nothing to check/uncheck for standard settings.

Thanks.

Join the frustration with HP club. Most likly, you will NEVER hear from HP. Don't buy from HP again. Its customer support stinks.

The original poster you responded to had his issue resolved three weeks ago.

As for hearing from HP, you will not hear from HP unless you Contact HP.  This forum is a peer to peer support forum, it is not a direct link to HP support.
