Why did HP throw away a perfectly good product (HP Smart Web Print) in lieu of HP Smart Print?

Come on HP... Why did you take a perfectly brilliant application like Smart Web Print and replace it a crappy one: HP Smart Print?

 

Will HP ever get Smart Web Print to work with IE9 or higher?  What a disappointment!!!
