c510a and HP MediaSmart Photo landscape/portrait printing?

I tried MediaSmart Photo to print some 4x6" photos.  The preview looks fine, even when I crop to do borderless, so I'm led to believe that's how it is going to come out of the printer, but each time it printed sideways.  When I change from landscape to portrait to get my landscape picture to print correctly, the preview stays the same, so I can't tell from the preview what is going to come out of the printer.  There's nothing in any of the software help files that can tell me what to do.  I'd like to just print things

I found a setting in Printer Settings to show a preview so I can see what it'll print as, but I'd prefer it if the preview in MediaSmart Photo showed what I was actually printing instead of going thru different menus everytime just to print a photo and not waste paper.

I used search in the forum to look up landscape/portrait printing and found 2 results with people searching for the same answer I was looking for and no one responded to either.  Does anyone know if HP will respond if I email them or something?

Thanks.

Did you find the answer to this yet? I'm having the same problem. I've wasted an entire day looking for the answer.

Another option for photo printing is HP Photo Creations. It's a free download from www.hp.com/go/hppc.

The first video here shows the printing process:

HP Photo Creations Video Tours

The Orientation menu allows you to choose portrait or landscape printing.

Hope this helps,

I am using photo creations. It will print portrait if you just want to print a regular photo. But it won't print portrait when I "create" a photo from another one

Hi Kandle.

Try applying your design to a collage print and then clicking the Portrait or Landscape button below the editing preview.

Portrait or Landscape Button

Let me know if I'm misunderstanding.

Hope this helps,
