Re: iPrint Photo software for iPhone & iPod Touch

WOW!  I was finally able to print from my iPhone to the HP Photosmart -web.  Sorry but I'm not exactly sure what made it finally connect.  What I did do was tried changing different settings, paper size, tray, etc.  Nothing work.  I then turned off the phone and then back on.  And know it works, you have to love technology.

Re: iPrint Photo software for iPhone & iPod Touch

Hi, Have C6180 printer succesfully connected to my home wi-fi and so is my iphone. I got HP iprint Photo 2 and to my surprise it started to work immediately - detected my printer correctly and I was able to make a print. So I did - loaded 10/15 to photo tray and started to print. Printing started, progress bar showed printing finish and after couple of seconds printing was stopped but on the LCD "Printing" message remained and paper did not appear, when I manually stopped printing the photo was printed only in 80%.... Any ideas? Kal

Re: iPrint Photo software for iPhone & iPod Touch

Using an XP desktop cabled to my router that has WIFI.  My HP8450 PhotoSmart is connected via USB to the desktop.

With this setup, the iPhone HP iPrint will not see the printer.

However, if I simply connect the printer with a cable to a port on my router (I can leave the USB connected)  then HP iPrint sees it right away and I can print fantastic 4X5's directly from the tray!

This is great!

Thanks to HP!!!

Re: iPrint Photo software for iPhone & iPod Touch

I have an HP Photosmart D5145 printer connected to a Linksys WPSM54G V 1.1 Wireless Print Server.  I am running Vista 64, and have the latest drivers and firmware downloaded to the server.  I have created a successful wireless connection to my 2Wire 1800HG Gateway with the Print Server.  The HP iPrint Photo V 2.0 software reports " No Printers Available".  I have an excellent wireless connection from my iPhone to the 2Wire router.

Re: iPrint Photo software for iPhone & iPod Touch

My HP6800C (i think that's it) used to accept printing from my iphone HP Print App without any problems.

Lately, the iPhone doesn't see the HP Printer on wireless anymore and I'm not sure why. It's all on the same network, and I can print via network from my MacBook and MacBook Pro, just not the iphone.

anything I can do to get it working again? :mansad:

Thanks,

Re: iPrint Photo software for iPhone & iPod Touch

Have a PhotoSmart C6380 (incidentally NOT on the support list for some reason!).

I was able to print fine for a long time from my iPhone, but then it stopped working.  Possibly around the time iOS4 was released, but not sure.

Now, about 30sec after I open iPrint Photo 2.0, the iPhone drops the wifi connection altogether, and therefore I can't print anything.

I have to close the app, and go into iPhone settings/wifi and reconnect to my home wifi network.  But the same thing happens after I open the app again.

Any ideas or suggestions?  Seems more like an app/iphone issue than a printer issue.  Wifi router is a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND.

Re: iPrint Photo software for iPhone & iPod Touch

I am having trouble finding my support HP printer on my network. I am using osx and at one time my Iprint software was able to find my printer. Now it says no printers available. Any help would be appreciated.

I have shared the printer so that anyone can use it. My Iphone is on my network with no problem. Just can not find printer at all.

thanks in advance

Re: iPrint Photo software for iPhone & iPod Touch

I have the same printer and the same problem printing from my iPhone 3Gs... but my iPhone 3G prints perfectly....hmmm

I wonder it the fact that the 3GS phone camera is higher resolution? Both phones are running OS4. Both phones have the same version of HP iPrint.  My iPod touch 2nd Gen prints perfectly.  Why not iPhone 3GS???

Re: iPrint Photo software for iPhone & iPod Touch

The HP iPrint app for my iPhone fails to stay connected.   Turning the wireless on and off does not restore the iPrint!  It still says no printers found and tell me to make sure it is turned on.  Although it waas very handy and worked once upon initial installation, and again after deleting and reinstalling the app,  I cannot continue to do that when I need to use it.
