swp window box

my swp window on the left of my screen has slipped behind the page and all that is visible is about an 1/8 of an inch of the window which renders it useless twice it has let me drag the page over to expose the select button but that is all most the time it wont even let me do that i have had it up and running for about 4 months and now its hiding how do i fix this? PLEASE HELP!!!

Have you reset?  Turn the printer off, unplug the power from the back of the printer, wait 30 seconds, plug in and turn on.

 

If that does not do it, check for a software update from the control panel.

i tried all that was suggested it only made it worse once i ran the update i lost my window box completely every time i tried to turn it on  it shut down my internet explorer i uninstalled everything and reinstalled it i now have my window box back but now i want to know why i cant install the update I'm running 64 bit windows 7 and it seems to NOT be compatable with your updates help?
