C7280 printer driver for Windows 7 RTM

Hello,

I have just installed Windows 7 (i.e. the full released version, not a beta or a release candidate) and am trying to find a printer driver for my Photosmart C7280 all-in-one but it seems there isn't one available right now.

Can anyone out there let me know when such a driver will be available?

October 22nd, when the full version will be released to the public. Windows 7 also has C7280 drivers included in it. So just plug it in, and it should work.

Oh yeah, that worked a treat. Thank you very much!!

Still a couple of problems tho:

1) Its only registered as a printer, not as a scanner (which is actually what I mainly want to use it for)

2) I typically use the HP software to manage my scanning but I can't install that off the CD (complains about an unknown O/S).

Any solution to those?

Strange. The scanner should usually show up under Scanners and Cameras. Anyways, you can run the Vista installation file under Vista Compatibility More, and it should work.

Sorry. I don't have a clue what "Vista Compatibility more" is. Just typing "Vista" into the search box doesn't show anything remotely resembling it.

Can you give me more of a clue? SOrry for apeparing dumb - I'm very grateful for the help thus far!

Click on the link below. Download and save the installation file to your PC. Once it is done, right click on ti and click on Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab and select Vista 32 bit. Click on OK, and run the installation file. Kepe the USB cable unplugged before starting the instalaltion.

i assume this will work for other printers etc. but replacing that download with the equavalient for the specififc printer in quetion? sorry i probably could have worded that sentence much better but cba.
