I have this exact problem. Have you figured this problem out yet? I've done all the same things as everyone else, but to no avail. It's been several months since this was posted, so I'm hoping there is another solution

I installed, reinstalled, checked the bios, bluetooth is enabled, tried the "Windows Mobile Center Device thing" (found on some webiste) and nothing works.  My 8730w can not find other bluetooth devices when the devices are in discovery mode.  My devices can see my 8730w.  The drivers I am using are the SP44774.exe that are for my laptop. I have Windows 7 64.  When my devices see the 8730w I can try to pair with it. It asks me to try 0000 or 1234 but no screen comes up on the 8730w.  I have done everything I can find on the internet to get my bluetooth to work.  It worked a while back (2 months) but now that I need it, of course it won't work.  I don't know of any updates or installations that could have interviewed with this.  I get a Bluetooth Peripheral Device that cannot find the drivers.  I tried installing Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 as mentioned for the driver and it installed but did solve my problem.
