Hi,
I have experienced some freeze at the startup of windows 7 rc build 7100 .
Even in safe mode, it freezes when it loads classpnp.sys
I have seen that there is a lot of problem with that file on google.
Answers are :
- update the bios -> done
- enable/disable AHCI in the bios -> no option like that in my bios
- disconnect any usb device, ... -> done
- image-cd was not burn correctly -> done
And it still freezes.
Some guys reported that they have experienced the same problem on a desktop computer.
They change the setting on the hard drive of their desktop from cable select to master but I 'd rather not to open my laptop.
I have the 64bit version.
I have an acronis image on a external drive.
When it freezes, I take that image back on my computer and it magically works again.
After some days, without any installation, it freezes again and I have to reload the backup.
It's a bit boring.
Another point is that I have a new message in the notification taskbar : something couldn't connect to windows notification service.
Maybe it is bound maybe not. I think it's something else but can't be sure.
If someone has a clue, please help me.
Thanks a lot,
Hasan Ozdil, Brussels
