Hey Everyone,

This question is all over the internet and I found a solution for us. I have the same problem everytime I have to reload my DV6000 CTO. Since I often end up testing different things on it this happens more then most would want to.

Here is the fix...... Windows Update, I know if you have any technical experience we all hate Microsoft's drivers for other companies hardware. But in this instance we have little choice.

1. After the windows install is completed, windows update will run for a short time.

2. Once its done reboot.

3. Go to start search and type windows update.

4. Click get updates.

5. You should have around 90ish updates plus 40 or so optional. (this number will changed based on your hardware and the age of windows 7)

6. One of the recommended updates will say Geforce GO 6150. 

7. Select your updates, I did all and reboot.

That should get you up and running. A while back I found a post with a modified XP\ Vista driver that worked well, if I can find it again I reply on this thread.

Need drivers for a HP pavillion dv6000  with a Nvidia GeForce Go 6150 card. Running on Windows 7 64- bit.

Nvidia can or does not have the drives due to HP has altered the software for there use on HP computers.

nvidia geforce go 6150 drivers for windows 8 solved....8.. up and running..smoothly..

after searching over every site and forum with no luck..i  finally got it right last night..all the knowledge gathered through these years since windows 98 times..made it possible..will post the solution tonight..if you want it in mail..drop merequest at {Personal Information Removed}..let HP guys work for what they are getting paid for....or i can post it here if i change my mind..
