Photosmart C5180 driver for Windows 7 RC

Are there any drivers (beta or not) available for this All-in-One printer on Windows 7? The 64-bit Vista driver should work on Windows 7 as well, but the installer stops because of a OS version check.

Although drivers for Windows 7 havent been released officially, you could try running the installation file in Vista Compatibility mode. that may help.

I would just like to comment that the Vista x64 driver and software work (like expected) on Win7 x64 too. So the tip to run the setup in Vista compability mode did the trick! Thanks a lot!

 

BTW, I didn't notice to be prompted for restart, and the solution center didn't find my scanner device at first. But after a manual restart the installer completed the last step, and then everything worked just like on Vista.

Glad it worked for you. Others havent been successful in doing this. Seems like you wont have to wait long for Windows 7 to officially release.
