C7280 Duplex Printing......different printer Photosmart 7250....same issue

Thanks for the reply.  I figured it out  but did not post my find....good for you!   I did notify HP when asked if there was anything that would have made the instructions clearier they need to mention go to Printer Properties!   Thanks again!

Bob's answer fixes the problem but it doesn't stick with my Windows 7 computers.  I've been surprised to see it loose the automatic duplex feature in the properties.  It also looses the 4x6 photo paper feature as well and I have to go back to printer properties to get it back.  I do not know why my computers get amnesia.  You would think the printer would be able to broadcast its features to the computer.

I find no "duplex installed" option.  I still have to indicate "print anyway" when error message erroneously indicates no duplex unit installed, and then it properly prints in duplex fashion.

HP has provided the page here that details how to enable the duplexer in XP, Vista and Windows 7. You may need to apply this fix as a user with administrative privileges.

Thank you.  Just had HD with Windows XP pro OS fail, so I got a new PC with Windows 7 and

installed everything and just did my C7280, but duplex not working.  Just read you answer and BINGO, that was the answer.  Duplex printing now working great!  A big THANK YOU shout out to you Sir!
