I understand and know first hand the frustration - but HP is not the culprit here - it's Arvato.
I have received many many e-mails from Arvato treating me like an idiot.
And the phone calls to someone that speaks horrible english and their only concern is to get you off the phone as fast as they can.
Hp has been given a black eye because of Arvato's inability to deal with this.
Arvato needs to call a company meeting and get everyone on the same page.
I'm still keeping a close eye on my approved order - because yesterday Arvato sent an e-mail that said my POP was denied - that's after they sent an e- mail saying my POP had been approved. This poor company is so confused.
So they first denied then a few weeks later - approved - then a couple of weeks later denied?
Arvato should never have been given such a big job to do - they just don't measure up.

I am happy to see other people have the same experience, but also saddened that it takes us to a forum in order to get this kind of simple issue resolved. I agree that there is more going on than miscommunication here. I see no reason why there is denial after denial without explanation. I bought the PC directly from the HP website...what do you mean you cannot verify it?!!!

Gave them a call like people suggested. Spoke to someone who was obviously not in the USA (judging by the accent, terrible, terrible connection and ethnic background music) and they were able to validate my uploads (which I did not change at all) on the spot, and changed my status to 'accepted' while I was on the phone.
I'm glad the phone call was short, but like other people have said, it's an annoyance.
Let's hope it ships on time.

Wow. Thanks for mentioning this. I have been chomping at the bit to buy a dv6-1253 with the option to upgrade to Windows 7. I hate Vista and was going to install XP Pro, dual boot. But after searching the forums to see how difficult it would be (it would be VERY difficult and a PITA) and learn more about Windows 7 working with my current programs......the thought of ever having to do it ALL OVER AGAIN if I even had to send the computer in for repair.....well, THAT made me realize I just need to wait for a full blown Windows 7 only version to come out and pick out a laptop after that.
Thanks so much for sharing that info. Really, I'm sure you've saved from days of angst, if and when, I would have had to deal with the above issues.
