Re: Upgrade Program for Window 7

No offense to eClaire60 or any other HP employee whom is actually trying to help.  I wasn't trying to personally attack you.  I am just fed up with all the crap HP pulls or it trusted thier parties.

Re: Upgrade Program for Window 7

When I click on the eligible models list I get this message:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /united-states/consumer/windows7-upgrade/eligmodels.html on this server.

Please direct me to where I can go to see the list. Thanks!

Re: Upgrade Program for Window 7

awsome work eClaire ! thank you. I ordered the kit with no problem. I just wonder why there are two product id's to prefer to one product?

I found that:

FR171AV is on the label sticked on the bottom of the laptop while,

FR239AV is found on the web order and packing list (I used this one to order).

Does it matter which product id I use to order the kit ? Thanks.

Re: Upgrade Program for Window 7

I recently purchased a HP desktop and the retailer advised that it was elidgible for the upgrade. When I try to put in my serial # the site tells me it is invalid. Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Re: Upgrade Program for Window 7

kimbog - Besides being 10 characters, it's hard to know how to help.  There is an auto-detect process now available on the ordering website if you are using your eligible PC (FQ582AAR) to order the Windows 7 Upgrade kit.   You may find this helpful as your serial number is automatically picked up from your PC.  If you are still encountering problems, click the Contact Us link on the ordering website.
